FL350 Worx Performance Shocks (Legacy Technical Reference)

The Benchmark in FL350 Suspension Upgrades

Upgrading the suspension has always been the single most effective performance improvement for the Honda Odyssey FL350R. The factory Showa shocks were engineered in the mid-1980s and are notorious for poor valving and excessively harsh spring rates. This issue is especially severe in the rear, where the rock-hard OEM dampers effectively eliminate usable suspension travel, punishing both the driver and the frame over rough terrain.

For decades, aftermarket performance shocks—most notably custom-valved units from Worx Performance (Works Performance)—served as the premier bolt-on cure. By replacing the stiff, pogo-stick feel of the factory units with modern progressive springs and tuned hydraulic damping, these shocks transformed the FL350 into a plush, predictable, and compliant machine across sand whoops and rocky trails alike.

Why FL350 Suspension Upgrades Matter:

• Restores Usable Travel: Eliminates the rock-hard factory rear end, allowing the trailing arms to articulate naturally and absorb impacts.
• Reduces Chassis & Component Fatigue: Absorbs high-speed chatter and heavy G-outs, protecting your vintage roll cage, motor mounts, and axle components from stress cracks.
• Improves High-Speed Stability: Keeps the front tires planted and prevents the violent rear-end bucking common to stock Odysseys over braking bumps.
• Rider Comfort: Drastically reduces driver fatigue during long dune and desert sessions.
